Security


 Iberville, West Baton Rouge, and Pointe Coupee Parish Courthouses are equipped with security screening devices.  All visitors are required to be screened before entering the courtrooms.  Screening devices include walk-thru metal detectors, x-ray scanners, and hand-held wands.  Officers may also perform a physical search of personal items when necessary.

Items which are prohibited in courtrooms include:

·        No weapons, including any type of firearm

·        No cutting instruments, including knives or scissors

·        No sharp instruments or tools

·        No aerosol sprays or containers, including mace, pepper spray, etc

·        No cell phones

·        No cameras or audio/visual equipment of any type

·        No food, drinks, or gum

You will be required to either surrender any of these items before being allowed entry into a courtroom, or return them to your vehicle.
